Understanding the issues around climate change is the first step to developing sustainable solutions. The Summit brings together key representatives from across Australia to take part in a panel of discussions to do just that. The following topics also form a platform for ongoing discussion.

Tom Burke is currently an Environmental Policy Adviser to Rio Tinto and previously advised BP. He is a Visiting Professor at Imperial and University Colleges, London and a member of the London Sustainable Development Commission. From 1999–2005 Tom was the Statutory Adviser to the British Government on Biodiversity.

Energy Efficiency and Demand Management
Personal, community, corporate and government responsibility – how do we empower individuals, communities and businesses to act to protect the climate, how do we encourage individuals, communities and businesses to invest in energy efficiency?
